ItРІР‚в„ўs extracting it over into the Splice pack, and then as soon as it finishes in it, Ableton has to scan all of these folders. It actually has to extract it across from one drive to another, which slows things down a lot. What I do is I hit РІР‚СљExtract NowРІР‚Сњ and because IРІР‚в„ўve got two different drives, I got that on a C Drive, this SSD, and then I have it on a slower other drive.

Then, it should, theoretically, install it in the exact same folder it would download it too. I go over here to copy the name and I put a new folder in there just like that. What I want to do ideally is name it the exact same thing itРІР‚в„ўs named in here. I want to put that straight in a Splice folder. Now, wherever I extract it, itРІР‚в„ўs going to go in a different folder.

I will show you how to do this now, I will open this up over here in Explorer, then I hit РІР‚СљExtract All,РІР‚Сњ then I can extract this. If you like the whole pack, you might as well get the whole pack lots of times because instead of having a bunch of these folders with one thing, it just makes sense to have a lot of them. If you find a pack you like, the idea with this is to get the whole pack. Now, one of the downsides with Splice is, it puts all of these in separate folders. I took the time to film this because you might not even have thought to do this before. ThatРІР‚в„ўs the quick and easy way to do it, much easier than IРІР‚в„ўve been doing. Then, IРІР‚в„ўve got it right there in Ableton Live 10. IРІР‚в„ўm getting the whole pack, then I just unzip that, and put the folder inside the РІР‚СљSpliceРІР‚Сњ library with all the other packs. I hit РІР‚СљDownload PackРІР‚Сњ on this one and IРІР‚в„ўm downloading for 300 credits.

For example, if I download a pack and put it in a different file directory, then what I need to do is just essentially manually put that one into the Splice folder.

You put it like this, and then you have got all of your packs that you can just click down and browse into each of these here, or you can go through and just search through.Р”Р‡or example, if IРІР‚в„ўm looking for a transition out of my Splice packs, then I can easily just click down here and IРІР‚в„ўve got transitions. When I put it on РІР‚СљSpliceРІР‚Сњ every time I had to do two down clicks just to get into this packs view. I picked the packs folder, where all the different packs go, I selected that folder, and then I actually renamed it РІР‚СљSpliceРІР‚Сњ because then, I donРІР‚в„ўt have to click down twice more. Now technically what I did, since I put Splice, if I go out to my data partition here, what I did is put a РІР‚СљSpliceРІР‚Сњ folder on my bigger hard drive, and then inside this are the samples, and then the packs.

All we need to do is click first, РІР‚СљAdd FolderРІР‚Сњ on here, and then wherever we put our Splice folder we just select that folder.
